EXT. BACKYARD BBQ – DAY
A STRANGER, snag in hand, turns to JUSTIN.
STRANGER
So what do you do?
JUSTIN
I guess it depends who's hiring.
STRANGER
(blank look)
JUSTIN
On a film set, I'm the cinematographer. I light and shoot what the director has in their head.
For brands and organisations, I'm a visual producer. I take an idea from brief to finished piece: planning, crew, shoot, edit.
STRANGER
So, two hats.
JUSTIN
Yeah. Basically.
STRANGER
And what kind of stuff do you shoot?
JUSTIN
Ads, music videos, films, docos. Sometimes it's a studio with a full crew. Sometimes it's just me in a maternity clinic in Tanzania.
STRANGER
Geez. Fair enough.
And when you're not working?
JUSTIN
Swimming fast. Riding bikes a long way. Going to the beach.
STRANGER
